Arnold Schwarzenegger, an Austrian-born American, is a multi-talented individual known for his various accomplishments. In addition to being a former bodybuilder, he is also an acclaimed actor and politician. From November 17, 2003 to January 3, 2011, he served as the 38th Governor of California. Schwarzenegger has gained worldwide recognition for his iconic action roles in movies, making him one of the greatest action heroes of all time alongside Sylvester Stallone. Some of his blockbuster films include The Terminator, The Terminator 2, The Terminator 3, The Expendables, The Expendable 2, Conan the Barbarian, Commando, and Escape Plan.


As a child, Arnold played football and participated in various sports. At the age of 14, he decided to become a bodybuilder and began weightlifting when he was 15. In 1966, he came in second for the Mr. Universe title, and the following year, he won the title for the first time. He went on to win the title three more times, becoming the youngest-ever Mr. Universe at the age of 20.

At 21, Arnold moved to the United States and won the Mr. Olympia title seven times. He retired from bodybuilding in 1975 and made his acting debut in the low-budget film “Hercules in New York.” His breakthrough came with “Conan the Barbarian” in 1982, followed by the box office hit “The Terminator” in 1984, in which he played the iconic character T-800.

During the 1980s, Arnold and Sylvester Stallone became international stars due to their action films. They had a personal rivalry, and Arnold starred in numerous action films such as “The Last Action Hero,” “Commando,” “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” and “Terminator 3.” He acted alongside Stallone in “The Expendables,” “The Expendables 2,” and “Escape Plan.”

In November 2003, Arnold became the Governor of California, serving until January 2011. After his term as Governor, he returned to acting and appeared in films such as “The Expendables 3,” “Terminator: Genisys,” and “Kung Fury 2.”
