Cary Elwes Biography

Cary Elwes, the acclaimed English actor, screenwriter, and author, was born in Westminster, London, to a family of creatives. His father was a renowned portrait painter, and his mother an interior designer and socialite. Elwes is best known for his iconic roles in films such as The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Bram Stoker’s Dracula, among others. He has also made memorable appearances in popular TV series like The X-Files and Psych, and currently stars in the Crackle series, The Art of More. In addition to his acting work, Elwes is also an accomplished author and screenwriter.

Cary Elwes found love in photographer Lisa Marie Kurbikoff in 1991, when they met at a chili cook-off in Malibu. The couple became engaged in 1997 and exchanged wedding vows in 2000. They have been blessed with a child and have been enjoying a happy family life together ever since.
