An American actor and director, Casey Affleck gained popularity for his role in the acclaimed drama Good Will Hunting, where he starred alongside his elder brother Ben Affleck and friend Matt Damon. He is also recognized for being a part of the cast in the Ocean’s Trilogy.
Born on August 12, 1975 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Casey Affleck’s father Timothy Byers Affleck was a stage actor and director from Rhode Island. His parents divorced during his childhood. He is the younger brother of Ben Affleck by three years and a childhood friend of Matt Damon. He attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin, the same school as his brother and Damon. Affleck’s debut in a movie was in the film To Die For, which starred Nicole Kidman. He gained notable recognition for his performance in Good Will Hunting, and his most successful film series is the Ocean’s Trilogy which featured big stars such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon. He also appeared alongside Pitt in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Actress Summer Phoenix, who happens to be the younger sister of actor Joaquin Phoenix, is married to Casey Affleck. The couple has two sons together.
