Dakota Goyo Biography
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Dakota Avery Goyo is a Canadian actor with a notable career. Managed by his mother Debra, a former model and singer, Goyo has two brothers named Devon and Dallas. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Max Kenton in the 2011 film Real Steel, and Jesse Barrett in the 2013 film Dark Skies. Additionally, Goyo lent his voice to the character Jamie in the DreamWorks Animation film Rise of the Guardians, which was released in 2012.
Goyo’s acting career began at a young age when he appeared in his first commercial as an infant. From there, he went on to secure various roles in television and animation series. Notable among his television appearances are Disney’s JoJo’s Circus in 2005, Ultra in 2006, Super Why! in 2008, Murdoch Mysteries in 2008, The Listener in 2009, My Neighbor’s Secret in 2009, Happy Town in 2010, and a recurring role as Timmy Tibble on the children’s television series Arthur in 2010.
In the latter part of September 2010, Dakota Avery Goyo wrapped up his role as Max Kenton, the son estranged from Charlie Kenton (played by Hugh Jackman), in the film Real Steel. At the young age of 11, Goyo secured the role of Jamie in the 2012 DreamWorks Animation film, Rise of the Guardians. He also starred in the 2013 film Dark Skies and portrayed the young Thor in the 2011 movie Thor.
