Dave Franco Biography
Dave Franco is an American actor, director, and screenwriter, born on June 12, 1985, in Palo Alto, California. He is the youngest son of Betsy Lou and Doug Franco, who ran a Silicon Valley business. Franco has two older brothers, James Franco, who is also an actor, and Tom Franco, who is an artist.
Franco attended the University of Southern California, where he majored in English. While in college, he started to pursue acting and made his television debut in 2006 on the popular series “7th Heaven.” Franco’s breakthrough role came in 2009 when he was cast as Greg the soccer player in the hit comedy film “Superbad.”
He went on to appear in a number of popular films, including “21 Jump Street,” “Warm Bodies,” “Now You See Me,” and “Neighbors.” Franco also starred in the independent films “The Little Hours” and “The Disaster Artist,” the latter of which was directed by his brother James Franco and earned him critical acclaim.
In addition to his acting career, Franco has also directed and written several films, including the comedy “The Rental” and the horror-thriller “The Rental.”
Franco married actress Alison Brie in 2017, and the couple has worked together on several projects, including the Netflix series “GLOW.” In his free time, Franco enjoys playing basketball and video games, and he is a big fan of the Golden State Warriors.
