Harrison Gilbertson Biography

Starting his acting journey at age six, Harrison Gilbertson is an accomplished Australian actor recognized for his roles in Need for Speed (2014), Fallen (2016), and Beneath Hill 60 (2010). He played Sorrow in a local production of Madama Butterfly as his first acting gig.
Born to parents Julie Sloan and Brian Gilbertson in Adelaide, Australia, Harrison Gilbertson entered the entertainment industry in 2002 with his debut performance as Greggy in the film Australian Rules. Currently, he is working on a romantic thriller film adaptation of Lauren Kate’s bestselling young adult novel, Fallen, in Hungary under the direction of Scott Hicks.

Making his mark in the US, Harrison Gilbertson’s breakthrough role came in 2009 as Billy Conway in Accidents Happen, following his American debut in indie film Virginia, directed by Dustin Lance Black and co-starring Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris. Gilbertson’s performance received praise from reviewers, and he later won the 2010 AFI Young Actor Award for his portrayal of Frank Tiffin in Beneath Hill 60, showcasing his exceptional acting abilities.
