Jack Black Biography

Meet Jack Black, the American actor and musician born as Thomas Jacob Black in Santa Monica, California. His parents were both satellite engineers, and he’s known for his extensive acting career in primarily comedic films. Jack has starred in many notable films, such as “High Fidelity,” “School of Rock,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “Tropic Thunder,” earning him two Golden Globe nominations. He’s also the lead vocalist of the comedic rock group Tenacious D, which he formed in 1994 with his friend Kyle Gass, and they’ve released three albums, including “The Pick of Destiny” and “Rize of the Fenix.”
Apart from his role in Kung Fu Panda, Jack Black has lent his voice to other projects, such as “Husbands and Knives” episode of The Simpsons, where he played Milo, the owner of a rival comic book store. He also made a guest appearance and performed on the soundtrack album of The Doomstar Requiem by Dethklok, singing as both the original band manager and a fat blogger.
