Michael Ealy Biography

Michael Ealy, an American actor, was born as Michael Brown in Washington, D.C., and brought up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He completed his education at Springbrook High School before enrolling at the University of Maryland in College Park. Ealy’s mother worked at IBM, while his father was involved in the grocery business.
Michael Ealy is renowned for his performances in various movies, including Barbershop (2002), 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Takers (2010), About Last Night (2014), and The Perfect Guy (2015). Moreover, he portrayed the character of Dorian, the android, in the science fiction police drama series Almost Human aired on Fox TV.
In the late 1990s, Michael Ealy began his acting journey, initially appearing in numerous off-Broadway stage productions. He subsequently landed his first movie gigs, playing roles in Bad Company and Kissing Jessica Stein. However, his breakthrough performance was as reformed street thug Ricky Nash in the 2002 comedy-drama Barbershop, a role that he revisited in the 2004 sequel, Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
