Misha Collins Biography
Dmitri “Misha” Collins, an American actor, was born to Richard Edward Krushnic and Rebecca Tippens in Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up in an irreligious family and interned at the White House for four months in the Office of Presidential Personnel during the Clinton Administration before pursuing acting.
Collins, who currently portrays the angel Castiel on the ongoing CW television series Supernatural, has made notable contributions outside of acting. He co-founded Random Acts of Kindness, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting and encouraging acts of kindness globally, and serves as its board president. In addition, he created the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen (GISHWHES) in 2011. The entry fees for this annual competition are directed towards Random Acts, and in 2012, GISHWHES broke the world record for the largest number of pledges to perform kind deeds.
