Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Jaime Lannister in the popular TV series Game of Thrones. Additionally, he has showcased his acting prowess as Horus in Gods of Egypt and starred alongside Tom Cruise in Oblivion.
Born on July 27, 1970 in Rudkøbing, Denmark, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s parents divorced when he was young and he was mainly raised by his mother, Hanne Søborg Coster, a librarian. His father, Jørgen Oscar Fritzer Waldau, passed away in 1998. The Danish actor made his US film debut in Black Hawk Down and has since risen to fame as Jaime Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones, sharing the screen with Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke. He also played a weapons expert in Oblivion (2013) and starred alongside Gerard Butler in Gods of Egypt (2016).
In 1998, Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau tied the knot with Nukâka, a talented actress and singer from Greenland. The couple has been blessed with two daughters.
