Paul Walker Biography

Paul William Walker IV, an American actor, was born in Glendale, California to Cheryl Crabtree Walker, a fashion model, and Paul William Walker III, a two-time Golden Gloves champion and sewer contractor.

Having started out as a guest star in multiple TV shows like The Young and the Restless and Touched by an Angel, Paul William Walker IV rose to fame with his notable performances in various coming of age and teen movies such as She’s All That and Varsity Blues. His breakthrough came in 2001 when he played Brian O’Conner in the high-speed street racing thriller, The Fast and the Furious, which garnered him global recognition. He reprised the same character in six out of the following seven instalments of the franchise. Furthermore, he also acted in several other films such as Eight Below, Timeline, Into the Blue, Joy Ride, and Running Scared.

At around 3:30 p.m. PST on November 30, 2013, Paul William Walker IV and Roger Rodas, 38, were on their way back from an event for Walker’s charitable organization, Reach Out Worldwide, which aimed to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). They were driving Rodas’s red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT and travelling on Hercules Street in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California when the car collided with a concrete lamppost and two trees. The incident occurred in a 45 miles per hour (72 km/h) speed zone near Kelly Johnson Parkway and resulted in the vehicle catching fire. The accident was captured on camera by a nearby security camera. It was later determined by authorities that Rodas had been driving the car, with Walker as the passenger.
