Born on August 24th, 1988, Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint is an English actor who gained recognition for his portrayal of Ron Weasley, one of the three main characters in the Harry Potter film franchise. His parents are Nigel Grint (born in 1963), who works as a dealer in racing memorabilia, and Joanne Grint (formerly Parsons, born in 1967).

In 2002, Grint expanded his acting career beyond the Harry Potter series, taking on a co-leading role in the film Thunderpants.
