Will Ferrell Biography

John William Ferrell, also known as “Will” Ferrell, is a multi-talented American entertainer who has made a name for himself as an actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is widely recognized for his hilarious performances in a range of comedy films, including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Talladega Nights (2006), Step Brothers (2008), The Other Guys (2010), and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013). Interestingly, all but one of these films were co-written by Ferrell and his comedy partner, Adam McKay.
Ferrell first gained prominence in the mid-1990s as a member of the cast on the popular NBC sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live. He later went on to co-found the comedy website, Funny or Die, with McKay in 2007. Ferrell has also showcased his talents in other notable film roles, such as Elf, Old School (both released in 2003), Blades of Glory (2007), and as the voice actor for characters in animated films like Megamind (2010) and The Lego Movie (2014).
In 2015, the British GQ Men of the Year awards recognized him as the top comedian of the year. Moreover, on March 26 of the same year, Ferrell was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ferrell has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including an Emmy Award nomination for his work on Saturday Night Live, as well as two Golden Globe Award nominations for his roles in The Producers (2005) and Stranger than Fiction (2006).
